Ten-year-old Oskar absolutely loves his brand new shoes! But when his classmate, Frank, accidentally steps on them one day, it sets off a chain of events that nobody expects. The flagship show in the Oskar series, Oskar and the Big Bully Battle shows how a minor schoolyard scuffle spirals out of control and three students become embroiled in a tale about bullies, victims, bystanders, and upstanders. Told with the kind of rollicking humor and imagination that has become the signature of the Oskar series, this play continues to be a unique tool to confront this nation's epidemic of bullying and continues to demonstrate its impact on student behavior.

Oskar and the Big Bully Battle was originally commissioned, developed, and produced by TheatreWorks Silicon Valley in Palo Alto, California. The original touring production opened on March 16, 2009. It was directed by Mary Sutton. The stage manager was Heather Robinson. It was performed by Ben Johnson, Maggie Mason, and Kyle Payne. The show continues to tour in California and Texas, with other cities also mounting performances and tours.
